Eclairs au chocolat
Let’s start this list with a French classic … l’éclair au chocolat. Typically made with a choux pastry and filled with a chocolate cream and covered with a chocolate frosting, l’éclair au chocolat is an all-time favorite that you can find in every pastry shop. Cannelés
Bordeaux is not only home to the famous wine, but also to this delicious pastry called cannelés. If you have never tasted them, imagine a little soft pastry perfumed with vanilla and a hint of rhum inside a little caramelised case and you have the cannelés.

Another classic is la tarte tatin, an upside-down apple tart, with the fruits caramelised in butter and sugar. An excellent comfort food that must be served warm.
