France indeed benefits from a long, proud tradition of scientific and technological research and innovation savoir-faire that holds-up the nation’s achievement in fields such as aeronautics and space, transportation, electronics, telecommunication, chemistry, biotech, health or mathematics.
The results of international competition speak for themselves:
- There are 14 French Field Medals winners making France second only to the much bigger United States in mathematics
- France ranks 4th in the world in terms of the number of Nobel Prizes with 65 laureates.
